Replaced my broken rear bearing carriers in my Maxx with Treal units. Super high quality, 3 bearing design, and fit like a glove. All for $10 less than the Traxxas ones. I'm going to be buying more of their stuff going forward.

And I found that these two thin wall bearings were on their way out. The Treal units come with oversized inner bearings.

Prepped my Jconcepts Finnisher Kraton body with liquid mask. Used a HVLP electric sprayer. 1.7mm tip, two coats. I think a 1.3mm tip would have been a little better.

Little more progress. Removed the liquid mask for the grill & windows & painted them black. Masked off the headlights & scallops so I can still see the lines to paint them a different color. Man I hope this all works.

It's a good thing I bought three of these fan kits. I was trying to unthread it so I could slide/adjust its positioning and it cross-threaded and the screw snapped in half when trying to loosen it. I will be going thru my assortment of screws to find something with the same threads but better quality to replace in the other 2 new fans before I install them. That can wait until tomorrow. :(

I'm thinking about setting my front lawn on fire. It's completely dead and should go up like a Christmas tree. Thinking if anything's still growing , the fire would burn everything above ground and therefore any live roots in the ground should not survive. I plan on tilling it up and sodding. if I do it, I'll take pics and you can see what a black lawn looks like.

Till it up and build an RC track IMO. :p

I think it's a good thing that I accidentally broke the motor fan mount screw last night because my RPM rear arms arrived today. I'm planning to disassemble the rear end of my FT this afternoon so I can install the new RPM arms and the RPM mud guards (that won't fit stock arms) that I purchased over a year ago.

Finally getting to this today. Everything under is unbolted as well. Exhaust off, torque converter bolts out, bell housing bolts etc. Trans us hung. Just a bit more on the left side head and this dodge CARAVAN engine that has no business in this bay will be out.

Just looking in that engine bay gives me a headache.

Hehe, I am rippin' down an '08 Wrangler right now too. You're right, the 3.8L shoulda NEVER even been considered for these things. Too much unsprung weight in stock fashion with to low of gearing, then you start throwing a lift kit and bigger wheel/tire combos and it's just a recipe for disaster (which usually comes in the form of spun bottom bearings).
