Here's my experience with fpla

It definitely doesn't replace but tpu but is different.

It seems to print faster than tpu but not as fast as PLA

The finish is Matte compared to the gloss of tpu and has a more velvety feel

It is more flexible compared to tpu when printed less walls and less infill which also leads to less fatigue splits. Similar to silicone

But if you need something a bit more rigid and go more walls and infill it splits more easily from over flexing.

If you increase infill and walls more to make it stronger than it really stiffens to the point of not flexing.

It takes more of a balancing act to get the sweet spot.

I've made a few sets of 6s wing mounts that failed after several ab(uses) but the tpu mounts I have now just keep taking the hits.

Now the wing I printed for my son's granite is very soft and almost floppy but has held up great.

Also use painters tape because it will pull the finish off your table.

How much higher do you have to set the nozzle when using painters tape?

How much higher do you have to set the nozzle when using painters tape?

None ,usually.

Real Painter's tape** just gives a better bonding surface.

** Not the cheap no-name brands or just blue color tape.
Scotchā„¢ or 3MĀ®
