"The older I get" When I tell someone I grew up in a house with no AC or electric heat, they are like 'what??' We had a wood burning stove for heat, no AC. No window units. No ceiling fans. Couple box fans, windows open. Spent more time outside than inside during summer.
My house was built in '66 by my grandfather and still has the attic fan, I still favor it over my hvac most of the time (it has to be scorching hot before I turn on the hvac). I have a '77 Fisher Grandpa Bear that I heat with full time. It's how I grew up too in my parents house we had no A/C but we had baseboard heaters! Never used 'em 'cause they ran the power bill sky high.

Additionally, if you remember some man coming out of station and pumping it for you, your ancient.
There is STILL a full service station near me.
Oh yea! I worked on these when I was a teen.

Damn this thread makes me feel old.

I live 5 mins from the closed down Atlanta Dragway. It's all grown up. They tore down the tower & removed all the grandstands. Sad.

I ran my 70 Chevelle there in HS & my Hemi Charger there back in 2018-2019 when I got it.
