I got my Grandfathers razor strop or my Dad's belt. All depending on how determined he was and what was needed at the time and Mom was zero help, lol. In retrospect I deserved a good ass beating 90% of the time. The other 10%? I just let it go... They fed and clothed me for at least the first 12-14 years of my life and I just figured I needed to get a job.

To be fair. It was usually preceded by "Oh, you did NOT jut roll your eyes at me!" Which was puzzling, because if I didn't roll my eyes why the beating? Maybe I should rolled my eyes, I dunno.
