It’s the size of a Losi mini…

Gonna put mine in a Losi 1/10:

the motor I put in there is a tp 5860 1070kv and I was worried the max 5 wouldn't handle it
That surprises me since the 5860 1070kv is almost the same size/kv as a HW 5687.

I know TP makes good motors, but is the power output really that much higher than a 5687 or 56113?

No,but the torque is insane. Hard to see it aa much on off road gearing, but 8s geared for 150+ its insane

Nah they are very different sizes actually. The second number is not the length of the motor for TP but the stator? iirc. That motor is 58113 mm, similar to castle 2028.

Ah okay. I thought the TP 5660 and TP 5860 were the same length.

Just gave it its first shakedown (6s) and I definitely need to source out front disc brakes, it has a rear disc brake but I disabled that one for now might install it again idk. It's pretty wild drifting this monster around though! At the moment it weighs 18lbs without batteries.

Gotta build a rear body mount and that's about it for a real run. I want to find a HUGE rear spoiler for it eventually. OTA programmer is on the way, I need to see my RPM's cause I don't want to over-rev this motor, shakedown produced no heat though. There's two sets of reduction, 16/49 which can't be changed and then currently at 30/35 that I can change to whatever. It wants to roast the tires in its current state.

Gotta get you guys some vid.

No sir. The 5680 and 5860 have the same can size. The only difference is, the 5860 has a finned can (1mm fins for 2mm total diameter boost). Available KV ratings, et. etc. are all identical. The same goes for the 5690 and 5870.

Popped a tire just now after some very pleasurable burnouts. Admittedly these shoes were in really really bad shape and maybe 20 years old. It made an actual pop/poof noise I got real scared first lol, oh sh*t the ESC popped.
