So in 2019, a forum member, @bicketybam, sent me a brand new Typhon 3s for my 50th birthday. Here's day one

Stage one. Simple mods like taping the body, adding sealed bearings, Typhon 6s shocks and the occasional run with cheap Amazon street tires and a set of Proline Badlands.

That's a nice guy. Where's he been at haven't seen him on forum in while? And the rig looks awesome man.

So after running it a bit over the street, I caught the speed bug and planted a 2050kv motor and 6s esc with a 26t pinion and managed 80 mph. This pic was a day of 78 mph.

Resurrected this build to give these @Moonstonemike custom made wheels a try. Solid rubber mounted to an old Hoon wheel. If they hold up, the plan is to go much thinner on the rubber and lighten them up. This is a T3 running on 6s, currently with a BLX 185 and cheapo Amazon motor for testing, but the plan is to switch to a Castle MMX8S and TP motor. Geared conservatively at 26/57, but spool is ready for next year when we push it for top speed

@bicketybam was a gent for sure. Miss him. Meeting him in person, bashing and all in CT was great. He hooked me up, passed his preordered V1 Lim to me back when.

I've stayed in touch with him and he's doing well in his new life without rc's. Not to say he's out for good as he's remarked that his fleet is still intact, just collecting dust lol

Remember, those tires are designed for Hooning. I've only tested then up to about 60mph.

You need not worry Mike. We're gonna push them to at least 90 on the Typhon. If they don't blow, I'll put in a MMX8S and TP 4070 2000 and breeze over 100 easy. I'm also outfitting my Vendetta with 17mm hexes so we can push that car too. What fun is it if we don't test the limits. I need an excuse to reduce the size of my fleet. Worst that can happen is we end up picking up a lot of plastic off the road🤪

Ok I'm going to pack a set of the v2's for you just in case. 👍😁👍
