Hi all,

I assume this happen during a bash session.
I don't have a solder iron.
Do I need to reconnect this wire before I recharge the battery?
What's that wire for?

The gray wire carries data about the battery voltage to a Spektrum transmitter. Without that wire, Spektrum batteries are like any other battery, and they work just fine. But if that was a Spektrum G2 battery without a balance plug, you couldn't charge it.

It's the 'smart wire' for telemetry & charging with a compatible smart charger like a Spektrum charger.

It’s the “Smart” wire. Just reconnect it if you only have a Spektrum Smart charger. If you have a regular charger, just balance charge it. But seriously man, you’re going to need at least a basic soldering setup for the love of your hobby and to instantly resolve problems yourself instead of going to the LHS. It’s gonna be awesome…

It's a skinny wire, it'll be an easy solder job. Lead solder (if you can find it) flows better than lead free.
