I may not love everything Arrma, but there is one thing that Arrma does better far and beyond what any other RC company does, and that is they know how to make good tires. I think you'll like the 4s backflips (y)
For sure..hands down the best rtr tires I've ever come acrossed.. wheels too for that matter.

A fine tire indeed!!👍 Let us know how you like em.
Very good tyre, good as the original badlands imo just pissed of with breaking turnbuckles grr
Luckily I'd brought the a set from my local model shop
Just ordered the tekno turnbuckles from amain hobbies
I'm from the UK so don't know how long they'll take from the good old US OF A to sunny England

Just fixed her up( again)

I reckon team associated is gonna bring out a v2 of the mt8 soon
All the model shops seem to be out of stock, look at this one it says new coming soon, expecting 16th march
Probably new arms turnbuckles and rear hubs
I hope so cause this truck deserves/deserved better, with the rpm arms and tekno turnbuckles, the mt8 is as good as any other stunt/monster truck

Look it says new coming soon

What gear setups people using?
4s seems a tiny bit slow now, but 6s is to much
might try it on 4s with a 13t pinion

I've noticed recently that the kaiju parts are hard to come by as well though too the past while. Wonder if that's a sign of the winds of change... 🤔

Look at the new price on the MT8. That's a huge discount. Does this mean it's going to get discontinued? ☹️. $349??

Folks in the UK have been talking about deep discounts on this model, but we hadn't seen them here. Not sure if it means it is being discontinued or just refreshed.
I've got one and after replacing the A arms with the Kaiju's it has been solid. It drives so much better than the Outcast/Noto.
I didn't get much love by the community, other that @razorrc really liking it, and there's a FB group where @Mit Snori moderates that has great tips and content. The MT8 seems to have a larger following on the other side of the pond.

It's pretty tempting at that point price point. But I have a K6S XL and a hybrid Typhon 6s. Not sure why I would get this 😅. Plus I just got a syncro 4 buggie from RC 😅

True, but from what I gather, the MT10 is way more durable.

And slower, and smaller, and more plasticky. The MT10 is more durable, but there’s more to an RC car than how often it breaks when you stuff it.

True too! 😅. Might as well get the bigger one.
Agreed, I think that would almost always hold true when comparing a big and small one at or near the same price point IMO. The bigger truck is more capable, has a better drivetrain, generally easier to work on.

Like the last several years we've had our yearly or biyearly Redcat sales. Would you rather have the 6s capable kaiju for $330-350, or the big rock which maybe occasionally goes on sale at $300 or so? Both need some decent upgrades for reliability and longevity. But one can be run in more places and can run up to 6s. Seemed like a no brainer to me 🤷‍♂️ That's why i have several redcats...

Having driven the MT10 and owning the Kaiju, i would say the small size is definitely a sort of limiting factor in how much fun you can have.
