Gladd your cat is ok.yeah I had my share with vet bills. Had a main coon for 15 years and a beagle for just as long and same ordeal.everytime I went even for normal check ups I had a bill 200 plus.1/2 hour waiting standing because every time I went it was crowded mine was on a leash like the sign on the door says to do and everyone's dog running around jumping on me and my dog or cat and people don't do crap .then it's my turn and 5 minutes in the room with vet .he says yup they healthy and i get a 200 plus bill thats some bull .wish i could make 200 in five minutes and do nothing
Thank you. However, he passed in 2022 but he had a long life and was just short of 19. He was a big boy, like bob cat size and was 22 lbs at his peak.
During his last year he had hypothyroidism, lost all his fur (mom bough him a sweater) and lost like 10 lbs. It was the pandemic and very hard to get any sort of care for him. We finally got to the cat specialist and they figured it out right away. That gave him another year.
Then one Friday night in Oct we were going to bed. He walked over to his water dish and fell over with a thump. They have a way of telling when they are done. They can't tell you what's happening, but you can see it in their eyes. When that happens you can't put him down fast enough. I hate seeing animals suffer. They are (mostly) innocent and give you unconditional love... Ok it's food based to be honest, but I will take it.
Not to be all dark and stuff, but... I don't think animals have a fear of death like we humans. Because of the human consciousness we have tried to rationalize death. I personally don't know what really happens, but it will come someday and I won't be here to tell you about it. Which is a bummer because it would be a great post for AF.
