3BRC anti-foams doing their thing on the test/break-in course in the newly install Super Swamper SX's. I'm pretty sold on these "foams." Just got a notification today that they're releasing 2.2" soon...I'm very excited to put a set in the 2.2 Capra.

Everest 10 with minor modifications. It's actually a very capable rig even stock. I would say tires are its weakest item.
One of the guys in my club has one of those...loves it.

I think the Capra is finally complete...at least for now.

4ws conversion with Reefs Triple7 servos
Long wheel base conversion
Proline Hyrax 2.2 tires
Proline Scaler shocks
Dig function with Reefs Micro 99 servo

I've had this sitting on the shelf waiting to be built for...maybe a year and a half? Finally got the chassis assembled. Will start on the body later this week. Very neat trail crawler kit, has a unique planetary gear transmission. Not a huge fan of the wheels (if anyone is interested in the wheels, hit me up...I doubt I'll be hanging on to them....1.9 Beadlocks with 12mm hex and brass inner ring...nice and heavy), and the tire foams are dual stage but a little firm, but I'll run these for a while and see if they break in before I pull from inventory. Eager to finish it up and hit the trails!

How are your Vanquish hubs holding up? Ever since a installed the Axe system, mine keep stripping at the wheel bolts. I'm guessing the added power/torque is too much for the aluminum. Gonna have to try brass or steel.

The first crawler I ever used was a TRX4
It was loaned to me by a club member and I was EXTRA careful with it. It was fun and had great control. Then I bought the SCX10.iii. This I'm having a blast with. I love the rear lockout. I love the 2 speed transmission. This one seems more dual purpose for trails or rocks. I know the TRX4 can be similar but the one I used was the basic Sport(?) model. I ended up buying it for my son a month later. I still say the SCX10.iii is better.
What's good is you can play with the center of gravity. I choose to mount the battery across the chassis just in front of the rear axle. Because it's above the chassis, everything else became about adding weight at axle height(brass portal covers/aluminum axles/knuckles etc.)
I honestly don't know too much about crawlers as I've been into it a few months. But I keep up with the die hard crawler builds and others say I did pretty good with it. Honestly, more than a few of the regulars thought I'd ruin it. Some of them feel I have "no respect for crawling"(the HOG guys). They just don't get that the BIGGEST appeal in this hobby to me are problems to figure out and the wrenching. I don't care if I roll over or wreck from a badly choosen line. I choose that line because it was bad and I was more like to get some damage to take care of before the next outing. That being said, the SCX10.iii can take a beating. I dislike this because I have to REALLY try to break something, even when it was stock.
Btw, notice the CF job box? That's the battery access because I hated taking the body off to change batteries. It lines up perfectly with the rear battery mount

You guys are killin me! Getting me all pumped for a decent crawler.
I have a wedding coming up...two trips to Washington state and who knows what else will pop up this year.
I WANT A CRAWLER!:ROFLMAO:
