A little bit of everything. Please explain, why you ask?
Ok then be ready to break a little bit of everything 😜

But it’s okay no matter what you do, you will enjoy it regardless.
Break this and that is just part of the fun and help you know your car (it’s pros and cons) better and adjust your driving to it (or not).

There is no one good way. Everyone has its own way and a place here.

Welcome to the forum. The community is amazing here!

Just have a go yourself. It's how you'll learn. If you make a mistake its not a big deal. As kspitters said above, take photos, watch youtube vids, refer to manuals and exploded views and ask questions here on this forum.
Thank you!
You're 4 hrs from me.

Research, research, research. Youtube, here-AF, exploded views from Horizon Hobby, google.....that's how I learned. Sounds like you are a visual/hands on learner like me. Google specfic things (i.e. Change Talion diffs/rebuild shocks/etc) and I bet there's a video of it. (y) Good luck man! You'll figure it out!! 😁✌️
Thank you for the words of confidence. I’m excited to be apart of this world of hobby RC
First off, you must have decent tools and fixins’, like grease, oil and shock/diff oils. The below are great on a budget and will get you started. Watch 6s repair videos on you tube and ask questions here.

Jennysrc.com. Best prices for take off stock parts. Get yourself a screw kit first thing. They sell out on parts and restock quick so sign up for the text notification if out of stock. Study the below breakdown of your car, push the red part number to see what it is. Good luck bud!!

I appreciate everyone’s advice. I got together some starter parts and tools and fixed my bent shock shaft and rebuilt the shock instead of dropping it off at the LHS.

I’m not gonna lie. I’m wrenching but getting to the diffs seems daunting. Lucky for me? I’m in Clarkston with a workbench and money! Cause I’m not sure how much of a PIA it is to just get to em. I KNOW I got my Michigan peeps close. @fozzy71 @3d-rc.myshopify.com and a bunch more. Tutorial please

Clarkston

I try and avoid Clarkston, too many memories/feels for me there.

FYI I have notifications disabled.

I have never messed with F/R diffs and all 4 of the 5(?) center diffs I have worked on all leaked... So I would suggest anyone but me as a mentor. ;)

I am spooling most of my cars now since 99% of my trigger time is on-road. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just changed my on-road FireTeam (53/107 Silver Hoons) from 28/36 spool to 28/42 which I hope to test tomorrow.

I’m originally from Cadillac by way of Flint. Grew up in Caddy but Dad lived in Flint. Always dumped me off at my cousins on the south side. So I fish, ski, but Flint is where boys are. See em sparingly. Cause it’s always chitty chitty bang bang, and a weekend full of debauchery. So I pace myself!
