What diff oil weights does everyone use for speed running?

Searching the forum only brought up one result that was four years old, so I figured I’d ask for a fresh perspective.

Thanks.

For smaller cars diff fluid tuning seems very important.
On the 1/7 scale cars I just leave it original and works just fine for me.

Diff fluid is one of those topics that everyone has opinions on. My logical brain likes the idea of locked diffs because I want both tires going the same speed, but in reality the car drove super sketchy with that setup. It was easiest to control with thinner fluid. I did this with a Typhon speed runner also and it was harder to drive after making the diff fluid change. BUT others have had different experiences. I suspect it has a lot to do with the road.

I searched when I got my Infraction 6s on here. For street bashing, not speed running, I got a 60/200/30 or 50/200/20 recommendation. Higher for speed running. Like, 100/300/100 or even more in front, 300 max in center. But I've never done any speed running, just the street bashing. Just passing along what I found.
