Thought I'd share some pics of my Typhon 6s that I finally finished. I started it a while ago but It was put on the back burner a couple of times when I started other projects and got distracted. I'm happy with how it turned out.
I must give a shout-out to @Mr.Duke as his rigs inspired this build.
I wasn't planning on doing a build thread but here I go.
I purchased it as a V5 BLX slider. My goal was to remove all the red anodised parts and go completely black.
Towers, steering plates, steering rack, servo mount and center diff mount upper plate were all replaced with carbon fiber parts.
I replaced the shocks, hub/hexs and motor mount to the black TLR parts. The TLR shocks feel and look really nice. Scorched titanium motor mount screws.
Still running the og chassis but I've fitted the Scorched titanium rear skid plate. It's a really nice piece. Wish they made a front skid too. The plastic chassis braces have been replaced with generic aluminium black anodised braces.
The servo is a JX servo CLS6322HV which is super fast.
I fitted a HW MAX6 esc which is way overkill for the Typhon but why not right. It may end up in the Kraton eventually. Just running a BLX4074 2050kV 6S motor as I had one spare and it's black. Cooling to motor is a 40mm aluminium Rocket fan in black of course with a matching Yeah Racing fan guard. RX is radiolink.
For boots I've got a set of choons or Proline Badlands MX depending on the terrain it's being run on.
I painted the body PS-5 black with PS-12/PS-23 stripes. Windows are PS-31 smoke to give it the tinted look. My first time painting stripes. They turned out ok.
Only future plans apart from bashing it is fitting a front bumper/skid plate. Maybe.
