Granite Voltage shock tool alternative

Yup, don't need a tool.
Unfortunately that’s not how these shocks work, they have three holes where the shaft goes in that unscrews and is almost flush with the body of the shock, I was able to get it open with a small pair of needle nose pliers

Are they like the 3s shocks where the shock rod ends also doubles and a shock removal tool?
 
Needle nose pliers will work. Curved ones are better, but you can make it work.
