I was wondering why this thing eats through center drive shafts. Has anyone done this on a TLR chassis? Or better yet does anyone make a SWB chassis with the driveline centered that’s the same width or close to that of the stock chassis?

I have done it to my TLR chassis and both Mojave chassis

When you do this, you’re no longer able to run the center braces and can only run the tower to tower correct?
Also, if I’m running the stock center diff I’m going to have to raise it to accommodate the stock length driveshafts. As well as find an alternative to mounting the battery tray.

You will never get the driveline shafts perfectly straight and level.

For the typhon I’m made center brace’s I’m running custom drive shaft that I make

You can definitely get them straight but not level

Uhm..
Excuse me sir.
Actually you can get them Both Straight AND Level.

Take a peek at the infraction/Felony/Limitless

Not the clearest photos with all the other components in the way .
But you can see the center driveshafts are as level as the battery tray..

With the V2 Lm they did raise the center diff FWIW.
I imagine the only advantage is trying to make the Driveshafts last longer? Or did I miss the whole concept?

How and what pinion spur gear are you running 34-34 will not work
How did you get your center diff that low

It's the OEM pinion and spur & motor mount.
On stock Infraction chassis.

Very interesting. Looks like the v1 center diff mount? I’m trying to maintain the actual center diff, I have the RRP 40T which meshes real nice compared to the stock arrma spurs. I like your custom bracing looks good.

What size spur are you running that it’s able to clear the battery tray while shifted over?

I found myself pondering this while trying to sleep at 2am last night and looked at it before I left for work this morning. I don’t think I’ll be able to shift over it while still running the 40T. If I do, it’ll be damn close.

If and when I do get it centered I’ll have to figure out what to do for driveshafts.

Ran 156mph on 6s yesterday. I used to blow input gear bearings everytime over 150..not anymore.will be running 7s Parrallel here soon an expect this to be the world's fastest 325mm swb here real soon.youll notice very little motor sound cause its running so much more efficient

I’d like to center the drivetrain and maintain the battery tray. Or find a better alternative tray that still allows me to use different size packs while being strapped down securely.

I’m not for or against rotating the motor towards the front. I enjoy speeding around the flat parking lot as well as doing straight line speed runs.

Ok just drew up a template in fusion 360. It’ll lock into the current holes and have new pilot holes where to drill the new holes. I shifted over by 6mm and towards the back by 1mm.

It feels like the front driveshaft has less movement than the rear so that’s why I shifted backwards.

All done much straighter. Sounds better when running around on 4s as well. Will test 5 and 6s tomorrow.

I have to man handle the battery when it’s strapped in to get it even close to touching the spur gear.
