I've got a can of the silicone type spray. I've heard it's a dust repellent but actually it will accumulate dust if it's sprayed too thick & heavy. I've tried it on plastic parts. Spray very light dusting, & wipe off. The plastic will look 'newer' & the dust is easier to remove. Still accumulates dust, just easier to clean. I don't use it too much.WD-40 is for cleaning your car, better used on plastics, if used on bearings dry them up and oil them.
But what about WD-40 SILICONE, it can be used as a dust repellent correct?
Soaking a RC bearing in reg 1.1 oil will never do you any favors. You have additives, cleaners ETC in oils. All that does is dilute the grease inside your bearing till you have none. Now you need to repack them or buy new.I have soaked bearing in Amsoil over night before.
