Grom diff options?

We have a pair of Groms and I was wondering what my diff upgrade options are?

As mentioned previously, mine has been through a couple dozen packs with a 30mph brushless 2S setup and my kids behind the transmitter. I did install 1M silicone fluid in both, not sure if they're shearing outdrives or destroying the planetary set.

What is the rationale of only replacing the rear diffs? Are they the only ones that break? I haven’t had issues with mine yet, but I know the son-in-law and grandson have had issues, not sure to what extent.
I got in my set of steel diffs I ordered the other day, figured I would install both and call it a done deal. Do I really only need to change the rear, and keep the other as a spare?
I figured changing them out before they break would leave me with the plastic ones as back-ups.

Rear diffs just have more strain on them. I don't have a GROM so I can't say if the front diffs break or not.
