Found a local guy selling a pretty roached out looking V1. Are these things worth their salt considering there's been several iterations since? I'm not sure of the changes between the versions, but I imagine it's pretty significant.

The idea is to truggy it.

I'm sure it'd still be a great buy. You have any pics of what you're lookin at? If the price is right ANY Typhon 6S is an okay buy. But if it's rough looking then you may need to open up diffs and such.

Asking 250 with no rx/tx.

This looks like a V5, also doesn't look like it is in too bad of shape.

Definitely not a V1. I am willing to bet dollars to donuts it is a V5.

This is a V1

V2 will look exactly the same other than having the BLX185 system instead of the BLX180.

Interesting. Would you say 250 is a reasonable ask (based solely on the photos)?

I'll inspect further in person and negotiate where necessary.
Yeah $250 for a V5 is a steal. Looking at the car he only ever ran it on the street so unless he ran into something with it, which it does not look like he did it should be in pretty good condition.

-edit- I just noticed the bottom pic of the chassis it is missing quite a few screws.

yeah looks like the steering post screws are missing well spotted

I wouldn't. Wouldn't even consider it. All I see, is a bunch of parts with cheap, stock, worn out stuff. Not worth $250. Not worth $200. I'd say $75 tops. It needs nearly everything replaced.

$175-200 is reasonable as you will likely need about $50 in parts to get it up and running well. I would just assume the chassis is bent to some degree. Also servo is installed backwards.

Picked up today for $200 which I'm perfectly comfortable with considering most of the damaged parts were going to be replaced/upgraded anyhow. Chassis is definitely shot, but cheap enough on Jenny's :).

Looking forward to tinkering with it!

check the steering posts there's no screws for them under the car (y)

Well, I hope you have some fun with it. A JRC V5 chassis would definitely be a good start.
