I'm not saying I did, but I may have tinkered a bit on the Kraton to learn about it being new to the hobby before using it with some cool parts.
On the 1st real session, the servo burned up! I read that the factory spektrum S652 wasn't great, but c'mon! One session? I took the servo apart after removing it, and it stunk, it burned up.
As it turns out, I had already purchased a power hobby 760 MG just based on a quick search and had it sitting. I didn't have a new servo mount, so I used the OEM one and shimmed it up a bit to clear the servo. That seems to work pretty well. I also went ahead and upgraded a few steering parts to get play out of it to make sure it was really smooth for steering. The M2C steering connector and hot racing steering arm made for a very smooth operating steering system. Upgraded the servo saver as well.
The steering is very quick and responsive now.
Looking forward to the next session.
