Hello everyone I have a 8s Kraton full modified with all the goodies from MC2 for some time now and never finished it and now I have 2 issues. I have a 56112 brushless hobbystar motor and a hobbywing max5 ESC and I about to try and hook the 3 wires up but the connection from the motor is way bigger than what the ESC accepts. is there an adapter I can buy or new fittings I would need to solder on the motor wires. and another thing is I don't understand what order the 3 wires from the motor had to go on the ESC. the esc has A B C. but nothing is labeled on the motor.
any help would be appreciated 👏

Best option would be to solder new bullets on the motor. If it’s not a sensored motor you can put them in any order, and if it’s running backwards, swap two wires.

ok I'm a newbie here what's the part name or part number needed to fit on the wires for the motor. I work in real cars and can heat shrink and solder the connections. it been a while since I felt like an idiot. my goodness I can't figure out a toy car 😳

Don’t worry about it! How did you end up choosing this combo?

What size connectors are currently on the motor? Can you measure with a caliper?

Then check the ESC manual. Do you have the Max 5 G2?

The Max5 G2 will need 8mm bullets I think.

My guess, your motor has 8mm bullets and your ESC is the older Max5 that has 6.5mm cups.

I get my connectors from radiocontrolpower:

Welcome to AF!
