I know I’m missing something obvious, but these oem Arrma straps are a bear to deal with. I can hardly get my fingers between the batter and side wall

On a serious note inside my RC boat the space is very tight and sometimes I use needle nose pliers but it wears the straps quicker.

Yeah I’ve been using needle nose. It’s the best way to slide them down in there.

I get rid of the clips altogether. I never use them.

Nope, not missing anything. They just suck, tall side gaurds on the trucks doesn't help either. I just replaced the straps with standard type. Punching a hole through the straps near the ends and putting zip ties throught them helps. Plus, the can't slip out of the buckle with the zip ties installed. I hate fishing the straps through the buckles when I'm all jacked up to bash!!
