Good case for batteries?

I bought this house in 2008 and I found 2 of these ammo boxes in the crawlspace years later. Wondering how'd they do for battery storage?

thats what i use to store my lipos. you need to drill a couple holes, god forbid a battery goes up in smoke, ya don't want it to explode

I own 5 of those. I remove the rubber seal in mines. Keep them from being a bomb, if something goes wrong. Also easy battery transport

I use old ammo cans for storing my lipos. And it's a grab and go thing as well.

I leave just enough of the seal at the latch end of the ammo can so that the latch still locks.

Wow I keep my batteries in a lipo bag in one of these.. I never thought I’d be making a bomb I’ll get that seal off asap

If not drill a couple of holes. Of course having an ammo box doesn't give a excuse to not keeping up with your lipo battery health. Always monitor them.

Get some of that seal back and put it back in the front of the lid so it still latches. If it falls out just super glue it in. No need for holes as the gasses will vent where there is no seal.
