Background: I have a Seton Mega V3. I put in a cheap brushless (4300)kv and was getting about 27mph top speed. More fun to bash around than brushed. Well then I accidentally submerged it.
Ive completely disassembled, cleaned every detail, regreased, replaced bearings.
I decided to put in the 85amp Spectrum Firma Esc combo with the 3300 kv senseless motor.
Im using same 2s and 3s Lipos that I was using before.
It's much slower now. I thought this was basically the same setup as the BLX. Im realizing now that this esc is 85amp and the one in the blx is the 100. Could that be the difference? That doesn't seem enough to compensate for an additional 20+mph that I see people running online with a 3S on the BLX.
I have the stock Mega pinion on motor, and a
Hot Racing 91t 48p Steel Spur Gear.
I also just read something about needing to upgrade the slipper clutch?
Thanks for your help. Still a newbie here trying to learn.
