Xmaxx 8s use it for jumps/flips, what is your setup?

So I want to start my jumping/flips career with big trucks and decided that the Xmaxx is the best beginner truck for it.

Nothing special with my Xmaxx
Max 6 g1, punch at 3
Louise Belted tires
40 or 60 kg servo cant remember
Stock gearing


So I did some jumps and decided to swap the belted tires to Kraton EXB RTR Copperhead 2 tires since i have them and think they will be better for jumps and flips. I dislike the old Traxxas tires they seem to break easy.

Looking for suggestions on what I should change from a stock Xmaxx to get a better jumps/flips from it.
All advice is welcome.

You didn't mention a ramp. There very important. My set up is basically a stock 3s typhon. I send it towards my ramp and hope for the best.

Stock motor? Gearing?

I have the newer Xmaxx that comes with the belted tires and it has no problem doing flips.

My only upgrade is 18/46 gearing, everything else is stock.

Using a ramp with a 45 degree angle makes a huge difference. Also don't forget, its big and heavy so you will need at least 5-6 feet of air minimum and you will need to go full throttle when attempting a full rotation.
