Hello, Arrma devotees,
I'm working on my Big Rock 3S's first RC repair.
I succeeded in shattering the front shock and breaking off one of the suspension arms into three pieces!
Ordering and replacing the shock with ARA330550 went without a hitch.

However, I received an ARA330543 that was 15 mm longer than the current suspension arm.
Additionally, the packaging's part number (AR330543) seems a little off.

Do you know which part number is correct?

Kindly refer to the picture that is attached.

Regards

Last I checked the long arms go with the big rock and typhon. The shorter arms go with the granite and senton. Maybe the older version on the big rock had the short arms…..not really sure. If you have the shorter arms then order granite / senton arms.

If you have the Big Rock 3S then these should be correct -the Longer arms-
Unless your truck is pre-owned and the previous owner used the shorter Granite/Senton 3S arms as replacement.

Yeah, It is a used one.
So how can I be certain of the exact model of my truck?
There wasn't any paperwork included with it.

Thanks a lot guys.

Pictures of the chassis and body would help. People can be shady and may have passed something off that wasn't. Not saying that's what happened but, sounds odd to me. Pics will help solve the mystery.

Not sure where you are located but in the states you can pickup a full set for about $10+shipping. Jennys or Ebay is your best bet.

I have a big rock, and just measured the length of the arms in the same way you did in the picture above (inner hinge pin to very end), they are about 3-3/4" long. Which seems to match the are on the right in your picture (even though yours still looks slightly longer, and the arms I have are a year or so old). I would assume you have a big rock. The one on the left looks large enough to be a 4s kraton/outcast arm.

Those arms on the right looks like the ones off of a Senton or Granite... TBH

Below are a few images of the chassis. Bought this about two weeks ago.
I'm new to RC & still in the process of learning.

May be the suspension arm changed to a shorter length by the previous owner.
Or is it a older Big Rock model?
Or is it not a Big Rock at all?

What do you guys think?

Thanks

It's a Big Rock BLX chassis...
But the suspension arms are completely wrong or was changed to the Granite Mega's.. (Short and stubby with plastic upper links)

They should Not be these "fixed" upper links..

They should be Adjustable turnbuckle linkages instead AND Longer arms>>

Why would any one change it? Is it more stable?
Or just personal liking?

Thanks
Some people have said that they like longer arms for more stability and handling, and it supposedly helps with traction rolling. Technically, wider would mean less likely to roll over, but I can't agree that wider absolutely "improves" handling. It's more of a personal preference thing.

Honestly Arrma may have changed the design and now makes wider arms? I just google imaged AR330543 and it comes up with lots of examples of both styles of arms (I cross compared the shape/design of the arm). I would have to assume the one you have is a "old" design. Much like mine which is even "older". I'm curious now if they did anything with the rear arms as well.

Part number AR330443 worked!
I sincerely appreciate your fantastic support.
I can have finally have some fun with my truck again.
Many thanks to all of you.
