Does the MMX8S Run Motors Cooler than other ESCs?

Recently ordered a mamba monster X8S, and I have heard rumors that it really can help with motor temps. I used to run a MMX6S esc with the Castle 1520, and the motor heated up a decent bit. I had to put fans on it in order to run geared for 60mph. Just curious if there really is some more efficient technology, or something that helps motors run cooler. I'm also pretty sure it has nothing to do with Castle's Smart Sense because the MMX6S has it as well as the MMX8S.

The MMX8S has Castle's "cryo drive". The MMX6S does not.

I was in your position - running an MMX6S and 1520 in an Infraction 6S. The motor and ESC were both heating up fast.

I kept the 1520 but switched to an MMX8S and the motor temps dropped by ~20 degrees on a similar run.

Then I eventually swapped the 1520 for a 1717 (1650kv) and now the motor stays very cool with a couple fans on it. I can run it all day long. The ESC gets hotter.

All systems were geared for ~70mph on 6S.

The 1520s run hotter than the 1717s. I barely get my 1717 1650 to 130F after 15 minutes of full throttle runs without a fan.
