Hi people ! Today was about venting my body for better air flow. I love the mud guards so wanted to keep them. I went to home depot and picked up some black fiberglass screen, a glue gun this is what it looks like. First I made some holes in the front where the body goes over the shock tower. Three covered the space nicely. The shock tower is directly in front of the wing and body cutout. This was the best spot to keep air flow. I also have a cooling fan so I made one hole in the side just for good measure. I cut the screen and glued the screen to the body. You can make it as thick as you like by folding the screen. I went with black to blend better but you can go silver or paint it if you like. Here are some pictures to show the end result.

Thanks. It turned out well and has stayed on the truck no problems. Air is important for heat control and I have seen a decrease in heat overall.

Looks great.
You are indeed correct about the heat, it’s a killer.
Any and/or all cooling mods are good.
Another thing you might try, is venting the mud guards. I drilled about 8-10 holes in each one, which allows air to flow but does not allow bigger particulate through.
What fans are you using for the motor?

Hobbywing ezrun 5v heat sink. Motor stays nice and cool now. I will do the small mud flaps for even better air. It's like 14low and 30high so when the cold let's up I will be back in the bash! Thanks for the good idea!
