Senton Senton motor upgrades

I want a new motor and esc for my Senton, I have heard good things about castle systems and was planning on getting a sidewinder 1/8 scale. I plan on running 4s most the time with occasional 6s use, I will mostly race and bash. Any ideas for motors and esc other than the sidewinder.

which MOTOR/esc do you currently have? The red BLX180, or the black BLX185?

If you have the v1 red electrics, then the black v2's makes a good upgrade.

I have the v2 motor, but I want a new after market esc and motor. I looked at the leopard 4082 2000kv motor paired with a hobby wing max 8, any experience with that combo

Yes it will run that motor just fine on 6s

Probably more power than you can use watch your diffs

I run the Leopard 4082 2000kv w/ Hobbywing Quicrun 150A and it's a great combo.

I am sorry to say this but the Castle Sidewinder 8th would not make for much of an upgrade over the Arrma BLX 185, it might be more of a sidestep. Both escs share similar specs. The Mamba Monster 2 or Hobbywing Max8 would be a much better choice.

Agreed. I went with a MM2 combo and it's a bat out of hell.
