, yes proline desert raid.. And I am Still working on the body post options. This was purely a mock up. For after I destroy the body I already have on order

PROLINE DESET RAIDER I THINK

WHAT DID YOU DO FOY BODY POSTS

I will probably integrat the body posts into the intent slash cage I have coming. It will be mounted to 5 points on the ARRMA chassis so hopefully going to minimise the breakages

Dude, those wheels and tires are tits. What are they and how have they held up?

Ok so... A couple things about this wheel tire setup.. First they are RC4WD Huntsman spider 40 series aluminum bead locks with pitbull 3.8 rock beasts.. That's the simple part.

Where it gets complex is they require RC4WD 17mm 40 series adapters. Make sure you get the version with the larger hub hole. They offer 2 kinds. One with a small hole and one larger. Nero requires the larger. And then, you'll think you have everything needed. You don't.
The problem I am having currently is getting the 17mm nut to torque down. No socket will fit. Including the snap on thin wall.. SO, you will have to go get a cheap socket and grind it down to fit inside the hub adapter, I'll be doing this tonight and will post pics once I do..

With all that said, it widens your track width substanially and adds almost a half inch in ground clearance. Also worth noting is that it adds a fair amount of weight to the truck. The rock beast 3.8's are a belted mud tire and I was able to run them for about 10 min before I lost a wheel due to the previously mentioned issue of not being able to tighten down the nut. While I was running them I realized they needed to be taped. So I taped them up and gave it a go. All good on ballooning. But then lost the wheel. Lol

OH, also... The front wheels fit just fine, the rears on the other hand do require a little clearancing. The hub assembly is just a little too big to fit inside the bead lock Huntsman wheel. I had to file down the carrier a little bit to clear the inner bead lock. At first it all looks ok until you try to spin the wheel after its mounted up. No go.

So, yes, I love the look, stance, size and grip of this setup, but it is not exactly a bolt on application.

Problem solved

Here are some more shots of mine
I love the look of the 2017 raptor body! Was there anything special you had to do to get it to fit on the nero? Change body posts or anything? And how does it fit with the front and back bumpers??

He mentioned that he had to use the front posts in the rear and big rock front posts in the front to give it enough clearance.

Just painted my parma f150 body

I'm wondering if this pre-cut/painted 2017 Raptor body would fit... it's short course size, so I assume it could with trimming of fenders?

I needed a new body for the Big Rock and is it unavailable since January :(

So I opted for the proline Raptor body. It is too short to fit the original bumpers but the t-bone bumpers should suffice. Also the front has to be trimmed to make room for the A-arms to move.

I am quite happy with the result :)

Hello! its almost time for a new body for my Nero. The bak is all floppy and the rear posts are almost ready to pull completely through!

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any aftermarket bodies that would fit on the Nero?

Thanks very much!

I got the proline ford f-100 body and it fits perfect after cutting of some of the fenders. But it looks amazing

I cannot find this body anywhere and it is amazing! Can anyone provide a location which may have this body for the Nero?
Unfortunately, that body has been discontinued by proline for about 2 years now.

Thank you as I have been searching for some time now without any luck. I like the pro line bodies for some durability, but I am not sure which one will fit the best so I am looking at the raptor. Do you have any suggestions for longevity? I did see the unbreakable bodies on eBay but not sure if you can paint that
