I've completed shimming the center diff which was my first time. I also changed the pinion to the Tekno 12t. Did I get the mesh correct?

Looks pretty close, but maybe a bit loose. Did you do the paper trick, or by feel?

As a test, when the motor/diff is still out of the car, I will power up and run the motor at low speeds. You can hear too tight. Too loose, you won't hear, but you can feel by rocking the spur. there should be some play when you rock the spur, but not much, maybe a 1/64th?

I tried just by feel because some say the paper way doesn't work. I have to take it back out anyway and will do as you suggested, thanks

I use 2 sheets of paper for MOD1, that seems to get it pretty close. One sheet will make it too tight. Or set the mesh by ear with the motor running. Gotta watch you fingers, though. :)
