soldering iron

Hello everyone I just seen a thread where they suggest 63/37 type of soldering iron. I have this Kester one but have no idea how to read their label. Can someone tell me if this is good or should I switch? TIA :):)

Just curious as to what folks are using for soldering kits. Not looking to spend a ton of money on one, but I also realize that cheap tools can be more costly if you have to struggle with it or hate using it. The Hakkos looks pretty sweet, price point isn't awful but for the amount I may use...

I was researching soldering stations and these 2 came up in almost every search I did. But I'm torn between the 2, both have good reviews on Amazon but the X-Tronic is half the cost of the Hakko. Has anyone used either of these or both and have any insight on either of these 2 soldering stations?

When you all solder connections what are you using. I’m getting frustrated as I know I’m doing all the steps right but my joints are poop. I’m using a regular soldering iron with the point tip. Attached is the wire and flux I’m using. . Please send me in the right direction.
