It's miserable out there, cold and rainy, not to mention the sun disappears while I'm still at work. Gone are the days of hitting the track during the week, and the weekend is only an option if it's not pouring.

Would the Senton Mega 4X4 be an acceptable indoor car (carpet and clay), with other tires (grrrr 14mm hexes...)? Not to be competitive, just to have fun.
Also considering the Fazon Voltage with its mid motor configuration for less money, but I'm worried about a serious lack of power.

Thoughts?

For what I call "Track Bashing", I don't see why not. When I head to the track for play days, I talk all kinds of cars that are not race platforms... My 2wd torment, a 1/16 MT, a 1/16 truggy, sometimes a 1/10 buggy. My local track is an outdoor 1/18 track, so a 1/10 buggy becomes a 'not racer'... LOL

I don't see the Mega Senton winning any races, but it looks like a decent platform overall. At least in pictures it does - I have not seen one in person yet.

Ive had mine on a clay track quite a bit. It does pretty good.
I'm having a really hard time finding a wheel and tire setup for clay, but other than that, the truck does pretty good.

Great truck, esp at this price point. But be prepared/budget to step up the electronics. It won’t be long before your longing for a brushless set up in this truck. Even with brushless set up it’s still cheaper than a slash, and likely stronger with better handling from what I’ve read (I have never owned a slash).

I have a mega senton 4x4 and nephew has a voltage granite 2wd. (Same as fazon but different body). They are both pretty durable for beginners but it really depends what you are looking for in an rc.

They both have weak servos (prob need to invest $20+ for upgraded one)

They both have slow motor/esc combos. They get boring within a month, which is why ppl on this forum are constantly switching to brushless systems.

I have not driven the voltage but it seems superior to my 2wd stampede in terms of simplicity, durability and overall value. My only issue with it is that the 2 cell battery system has short runtimes forcing you to either switch to nimh, lipo or buy extra cells. Which get expensive.

Senton mega 4x4 is slow even on 2s lipo. I bashed it on grass and sidewalk/blacktop surfaces. It does not traction roll but the wheels are hard to find replacements since its a weird 14mm hex design. Most sct are 12mm.

Basically, i would have saved some more money and just grab a 1/8 senton blx, lipo and charger if i could do it all over again. Best bang for the buck and does it all in stock form (60mph) cant beat those numbers.
