Bro, you car is dialed in already. This was definitely just a matter of time before you went for the shocks. Not only do they look great, they are tough as nails. Remembering how tough my rod ends were to get on the rod, and reading the couple of posts prior to this one, reminded me. If you have a tap and die set, you could just tap the rod end to add the threads to the end, and then they would just screw right in.

Talion V3 shocks are listed as upgraded to 4mm. Will be interesting to see how they compare to Tekno. Are the Durango shocks 4mm shaft??

The Tekno shock rod ends are unbelievably strong, so is the entire shock....the full feature shocks are a extremely well made. Also...the ones off a MT410 might fit on a Kraton. They are less money than the full feature Tekno shock , but are ridiculously strong also. I kid you not...very impressive.

OMG.....
Just ordered a full set. This is worse than a crack addiction!
LOL....awesome upgrade. I must see them installed !!!!

I'm using the kit shocks from EB 48.2 - I compared diagrams and part numbers. All parts are the same except springs: EB48, ET48, MT410, NB48. Very affordable if you buy the kit from Dollarhobbies.com, whichever is cheapest of these. The only benefit of ET48 kit is that they come with the Green truggy springs, which I run on the rear of Kraton.

Can't help myself!
Had a rear shock sticking half way and thought I had bent a shaft so I ordered new shafts. When I pulled it off, it turns out a front tire had kicked up a rock big enough to dent the shock itself and was no longer round. Gonna just upgrade the rears buy couldn't do that ither so went all Tekno and not looking back!
I have spent so much money at this point I am beginning to wonder if I should have just bought a Tekno truggy and put a bumper and backflip tires and called it a day!

I used these and am not having an issue - Tekno rc part number tkr8027; I guess they are the long version. I did not know there was a short version. My shocks seem close to the shock tower now even though I have the long stand offs.

Any link on that Center bar u have from rear to front?..thanks.

I bought an aluminum tube from Home depot and notched it to fit over the front shock tower. Then notched it to fit the vertical post in the rear shock tower. Used zip ties to hold it in place. Be sure the notch in the rear extends bout a half inch past the shock tower. This way when the chassis flexes out, or flexes wheels down the brace does not slip off the tower. With the new Voltage hobbies Shock towers, I plan to just notch it the same on the front and rear, over the top of the shock tower. Check out my media page and you can see the how I made it. Also @Richduperbash has some posts and pictures of the one he made. You will need to cut out a piece of the center roll bar tower thing, to get it to sit low enough for the Kraton body to fit over it. I took that roll tower out and am using a Grave Digger Body, so you won't see the tower mod in my pictures.

I see, smart Idea,

I put the Tekno full option shocks on my Kraton today. The build was easy and fun. The shock kits were very well organized and the quality? WOW! They are just dripping with quality.

The shocks are basically 99% "bolt on" too except for drilling a bigger hole in your shock tower, but that is easy. Their were no problems at all installing them. The only thing that made me sweat was drilling my carbon fiber shock towers for the new 4mm shock stand-offs. Carbon fiber can be sketchy when drilling but drilling the stock aluminum towers would be super easy.

When I bought these shocks it was really just to avoid the parts hassle that Arrma has created with shock shafts and ends. However, once I got the shocks installed and drove the truck I realized I was mistaken....badly mistaken. These shocks are not just a durability upgrade, they are a HUGE performance upgrade. I HAD NO IDEA shocks could be this good. I'm dumbfounded.

Everything about the truck is enhanced by these shocks. Jumping, cornering, drifting, and overall control have improved greatly. These things are SMOOTH.....I mean like butter.

Had I known the Tekno shocks were this good, they would have been my first upgrade. They are that good. They are worth every penny. If you have been considering these shocks for your Kraton, just buy them......you can thank me later. :)

Thanks to the guys who went before me with these shocks. You have made my Kraton even more fun. I'm a little poorer but .........oh well.;)

Great news. Can you send me a link to those shocks?

Oh god... oh god... oh goooodddddd yessssss....
Oh I'm sorry that doesn't normally happen...
I guess I got too excited!

I just got papers in the mail today. An offer to retire if I want. I'm too young, have young kids and a house mortgage. It was an enhanced offer from my company. I wish I could take it.

So I also ordered both front and rear shock kits from Dollar Hobbyz along with the oil. Is there anything else I might need to build the shocks beside what comes in that kit?
