Wanted to get a brief opinions on this Buggy. I have now given it 3 runs so far. My first run was a 5 minutes or less on the road doing speed runs with at 6s. This resulted in my Spur and Pinion teeth getting eaten up. I blamed this on poor Mesh from factory I should have checked it first. I got it repaired at my LHS. On my first run after fix the pin in the pinion literally melted inside the pinion the guy who ran the LHS said he had never seen anything likes this before. So after it was fixed the LHS suggested I run it at 4S and not 6S. I was able to run a full battery for the first time with nothing broken today but it was at 3S seems so slow after running 6S. I was curious as to the experiences you guys have had with reguards to 6s Batteries on the typhon. I run the grass and concrete road in front of my house Suburb area. Shoulda mentioned before but everything is stock as of now on the Typhon.

I have ran numerous (40+) 4s packs through mine and a decent amount (15+) of 6s packs through my Typhon, jumping and clearing the two lane road and jumping at motocross track. The only parts I have broken is one front lower a arm, one bent shock rod and front broken sway bar holder/bumper. Those all broke at 40 mph+ 6s crash almost head on into a concrete wall. I've never had the problem you describe and I have Typhon, Kraton, and Senton. Not saying you're doing anything wrong or anything, just saying I have never had it happen to me.

I have a Fazon as well and have never had an issue with it only have run at 6S. Maybe it was just bad luck I love that Typhon its so fast and just wants to accelerate non stop. Im almost scared to run it at 6s for fear of another breakage. The Mesh and gears is the one thing I do not like to mess with I do not mind fixing arms and shocks and those type of things but hate dealing with the gears.

I hear you with working on gears. That's why I haven't shimmed my differentials yet lol but want to do it sometime. I guess I would try it one more time on 6s before I'd give up. You already know the problem with the first run, the second run could have been a faulty pinion from the factory. I guess I would either try a Robinson racing pinion is Tekno, but Robinson seems to be the more recommended of the two.

I've been running my car on 6s packs with no issues (besides those caused by crashing , haha).

I started with the stock 14t, then moved up to the 16t, and now just installed an 18t pinion. This thing flies and still seems to have plenty of low end power. I did install a motor heatsink/fan but I'm not sure I even really need it.

Had to replace pinion because rock jammed in and broke some teeth. Most damage was lower front arm and rear hing pin due to being a surface newbie and landing big jump badly. I've not shimmed the differentials yet but might next time I service them. Using 6S mostly beats on the tires and rear mud guards. I've tried 14T, 15T, and 16T pinions with 4s and 6S and not had the problems you've described.

I pound on mine on mostly 6s. I did have a pinion/spur problem at first. 3 stock pinions and a spur gear later I contacted arrma and they replaced my spur. With the new spur I put in a 15 tooth advantage racing products pinion (Robinson Racing are awesome too) and have not had a problem other then seizing up a motor which was my fault :) I run 6s pretty aggressively and other then a arms, motor and servo (motor and servo were my fault but arrma replaced them as well) it's been great to me. But running 6s I've noticed the center dogbone pins are getting beat...and I mean beat.

How's the motor temperature with that 18 tooth?
