-Outcast battery tray big improvement.

-Outcast Tall sides. Fit without modification. I trimmed the front corners and notched the back where the body angles up, and it fits even lower, I guess. It did not seem necessary, but I gave it a try. Either way, I recommend any Typhon owner to consider this upgrade...I've even stopped using a chassis shroud :)

-CF towers and steering top plate-so far I know they weigh less and they seem strong

-Team Durango rear carries with mud scrapers - I mostly did it to confirm fitment, but the scrapers are a nice feature...and the price was great.

-Team Durango dirt guards - Direct screw-on, no mods. They are light weight and I like the design better than the straight ones I had. The straight ones would deflect lots of crud forward, into the chassis. These are curved back, so nothing bounces forward off from them...

-You can also see in that last picture, the Arrma bent large body clips. They are also a major (IMHO necessary) easy fix for any Typhon owner with dented finger sand thumbs...
LXFPJV - ARRMA Body Clip Large Bent (4)

- I've also gone with the T.D. rear anti-roll bar, blue and one in front is next size down from stock. It's made a noticeable improvement in handling and high speed sharp turns, even with Badlands on!

Unfortunately TD330764 (Team Durango dirt guards) are no longer available. Any alternative rear mud guards which are angled to not deflect in the chassis? Unless you know where to find the Team Durango ones. What about the dust shroud that you have installed? Will the Dusty Motors for Kraton work on the Typhon? I also want to ask about the Outcast side protectors. Besides some minor trimming that you mentioned, are they direct fit on the Typhon chassis? Do you need to remove any components (electronics, etc)?

The outcast side guards were direct fit.
Just remove old sides...since upgrading to outcast sides the dust shrouds both remain in a drawer

Did you have to use a heat gun to bend the plastic sides to fit the Typhon body? Someone in another thread said that they had to heated and bent. Also, do you need to remove any electronics for the swap?

No mods, but that sounds cool.
Hey Voltron7. So, today I have followed this thread and bought the Outcast side guards along with the battery tray. A couple questions/observations:

1. The side guards fit great, no modifications as you said. The only thing is that the rear part of the Typhon body is rubbing a bit on them. I might need to cut them a little bit. I see you have removed a small piece on yours, too.
2. The Outcast battery tray is a big improvement. The fit was exact, with no modifications needed. You do have to remove the old base that holds the old battery tray and the remote box and install the one that comes with the Outcast battery tray. I just feel that the straps are quite long!! Did yo cut them? Also, I think the old battery box was faster to get the battery in/out. With the new one, it just takes a bit longer.

Pantag I cut the short strap a bit, but not too much , sorry I didn't mention that before. At first it took me longer to place/replace lipo, but now it's about the same, and I spend almost no time clearing the chassis of rocks and replacing pinion gears, hehehe. I also like the balance plug holder...one tip I have is to get the short strap "setup" for lipo insertion, before taking it out to charge. I use the strap to pull the plastic end up and away from the chassis, to about middle of tray (laterally.)
I also never completely undo the long strap, just loosen and close it, enough for lipo removal, but don't have to feed it through anymore...crystal?

how much bigger is the outcast battery tray vs typhon battery tray
Did all the parts come together or did you have to order them piece by piece part
Part numbers would be a great help
Thanks in advance

At this time, I would recommend buying the 2018 Typhon one. https://www.arrma-rc.com/part/AR320351 It is the same basically.
But to answer you, the Outcast tray fit fine, I think it was the same size, but obviously higher. No modifications to batt tray, but I may have drilled one new hole in the chassis plate, sorry I just can't remember.
Here is the Outcast tray number: AR320351
It included all the pictured parts (clips, straps, spacers, etc.)
HTH
