Buddy of mine asked me to paint him a gulf racing theme for his limitless

I’m bored with two tone plain paint jobs but he was very specific about what he wanted

I did paint this one today also ..I was given free reign to “do my thing”

So i got one of the rushin kraton bodies. As any one you no tried to wash in degreaser and then dawn before priming
There saying these cant be painted do to oil..

I doubt paint would stick but a wrap might work

Although it looks simple (2 tone) but the result is net and precise. You can guest a lot of preparation! ?

You’re right ..sometimes simple means a ton of prep work
This limitless required a lot of taping and back taping to make it come out nice and clean. That’s why I prefer to do more abstract stuff so you don’t have to worry about being perfect ..with abstract stuff there is no perfect

?I was thinking just the opposite, first one you’ve posted that I’ve actually liked. Gulf and Martini are my favorite liveries, and I’ll always take a neatly taped paint job over urban graffiti.

Replicating Scale Graphics is very hard to do. Painting errors are easily noticed.
I appreciate nice paint work and always do a multicolor. But I have to be in the mood to paint. I don't consider myself a painter at all. Sometimes I surprise myself with good results. But I do prefer my own painted bodies over any RTR body, always. I've painted maybe 15 bodies over the 25+years. I don't have the love and patience to paint. I agree, @Ajag does nice work.

Edit: Hemistorm does great paint work. I watch him a lot.

It’s definitely a pasion for the hobby that keeps me going on these bodies
I wouldn’t consider myself a great painter by any means..I’m always pushing myself to learn something new
